hi guyz......
i have some serious problem.Windows XP is detecting my DVD-ROM as a CDROM and thus dosent let my pc read DVD's!!! :oops: .....it installs the cdrom driver for the dvd-rom as well,i guess that could possibly be the probleml....i've tried uninstalling - reinstalling the dvdrom from the device manager,etc...nothing works,tried searching for a dvdrom driver on the net as well....still no use....please help me with the problem guyz!!

my dvd-rom details : AOPEN 16XDVD-ROM/AMH .firmware version : R17.

dude....thnx 4 replying.
bt the problem i have is not only regarding playing dvd's....my dvd rom just does not read dvd's,clicking on the dvd-rom juz freezes the computer,and i'm not able 2 open my dvd drive. is it possible to find drivers for the dvd-rom ?
