I have a PCG-NV109M running XP but the Conexant-Ambit SoftK56 Data, Fax ICH modem is running at anything from 11 to 24k (max) rather than the 56k. It repeatedly disconnects and is unable to access even the most basic text-based sites.
Does anyone have access to or a copy of the driver for this beast? If so, please let me know or let me have a copy. I would be very grateful.

Heres the page on Sony's site for your particular notebook, unfortunately there are no modem drivers listed

Being a WinModem it's more likely to be affected by line noise than a hardware modem, is the telephone line your using Ok?
