Thank you for getting back to me, i have tryed what you said but with no luck. The battery charges up ok so i think i will leave it. Can i download any up dates for the motherbroad as im not sure when it comes to these things.

if the info i just called up is correct its running the intel 945pm express chipset.

so Intel would be the place to look for any updates to that chipset.
this is the most up to date driver from intel.
