Hi, I need help please.

My mouse hasn't worked for a few weeks now and it looks like the driver is gone. I don't know how it happened but, I suspect it happened while I was visiting a web site. I don't know what kind of mouse I have but it has a little lower case i ,and a swooshy thing around it. The model number is- HTM-62WT Can someone please help me out? I'm assuming I can download a driver but I don't know which one. And using my keyboard for everything is driving me nutz!!! Thank you!

Well i've got as far as determining the manufacturer, it's MGC, now all I need to do is locate a driver

I believe you need a driver from this page but I'm not sure which one

I think 3D-1.2.zip is the most likely candidate.

This is soooo frustrating! I downloaded it (the one you suggested), unzipped it, installed it, rebooted, and it still isn't working. When I look at the mouse properties and look under hardware there is nothing there. I am so lost. It actually worked for about 45 seconds when I first turned the computer on earlier today but it just stopped. Now I'm really confused! :roll:

How does the receiver connect to the PC, via the PS/2 mouse port or USB?

No, it isn't wireless. I don't know which is which, it goes in the little round hole with the picture of a mouse beside it. :oops:

I'm sorry I don't know a whole lot about computers, but I will remember everything I learn from you, I promise!
Sometimes when I first turn on the computer, my mouse will work for a few seconds, but as soon as I click more than once or twice it just stops. could it be a loose wire in the mouse or something? But it still has nothing in the mouse properties.
