Printing pages with a repeated glob

Postby parispete on Mon Sep 04, 2006 3:23 am

I have a Konica Pagepro 1300W laser mono printer with a near new cartridge which is repeatedly printing a clear area in amongst the text. Found the cause was a piece of fried black shit on the image transfer roller. Konica understandably say don't touch, but, hey, this large refill cost a bundle. Does anyone know how to clean this roller without damaging print quality? The 1300W is a great fast printer, but small, so the pages stack externally. Maybe a bug dropped onto a page and got fried by the laser. Help me please.

I would try IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) cleaner and a lint free cloth :)

This man deserves every major military decoration, then a free feed at Maccas. Top marks, old son. Not only have you saved me a fortune from having to buy a new refill, but your cure came like a speeding bullet.
